Adware Alert

has several meanings. It may be reference to software or a service that alerts you about new adware discoveries, so you are forewarned about a new threat before it comes to your computer. Adware Alert also refers to an alert that might appear, when adware is detected trying to enter your computer, or already present on your computer. Anti-spyware programs with real-time intrusion detection often give such alerts, when malware is detected.

However, be aware that "adwarealert" is a rogue anti-spyware program associated with a general infection referred to as "Fake Alert". If you see an adware alert telling you that your computer is infected, and the alert is not coming from a known anti-spyware or anti-virus program on your computer, then the alert is likely coming from adware software trying to make you purchase a rogue product like adwarealert.

Do NOT click on pop-up ads that say your computer is infected!! Try to RIGHT-click on the icon for that pop-up in your Windows taskbar at the bottom of your computer screen and select "Close" or "Close Group" in the menu that appears.
